ASSOCIATE THERAPISTS AT I.H.F.T., PLLC

Associate therapists at Inner Healing Family Therapy, PLLC are graduate-level clinicians who have passed the National Exam for the State of North Carolina and/or the State of South Carolina and are currently working toward full licensure under clinical supervision. Each associate therapist brings their own clinical voice, training, and areas of focus while practicing within the collaborative supervision structure of the practice under Dr. Tia Crooms of Systemic Supervision Training Center.

Tanya Alkhaliq, LMFTA

Tanya Alkhaliq, LMFTA, is the founder of Inner Healing Family Therapy, PLLC and a relational therapist committed to helping clients reconnect with themselves, their stories, and their relationships. Her work is shaped by a belief that healing happens through curiosity, collaboration, and meaningful reflection rather than judgment or quick solutions. 

​

Tanya works with adults, couples, families, and young-adults navigating grief, identity transitions, relational stress, and faith or spiritual shifts. She is especially drawn to work that explores intergenerational patterns, emotional resilience, and the process of reclaiming one's sense of self after difficult life experiences.

As the practice owner, Tanya is building Inner Healing Family Therapy, PLLC as a collaborative clinical space where thoughtful care, cultural awareness, and ethical practice remain central to the work of every therapist in the practice.

She holds a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy and continues to grow through supervision, advanced training, and research-informed clinical practice.

​GRADUATE INTERN THERAPISTS AT I.H.F.T., PLLC

Graduate interns are clinicians completing their clinical training as part of an accredited Marriage and Family Therapy or Marriage and Family Counseling program. Intern therapists provide services under supervision of Systemic Supervision Training Center with Dr. Tia Crooms, LMFT (or an approved supervior-trainee of SSTC), while developing their clinical identity and skills.

This profile represents a future graduate intern therapist at Inner Healing Family Therapy, PLLC. Graduate interns are clinicians currently completing their clinical training through an accredited Marriage and Family Therapy or Marriage and Family Counseling program.

Intern therapists provide therapy services under the supervision structure of the practice, receiveing ongoing clinical guidance while developing their therapeutic skills in real-world clinical settings. This process allows interns to grow as clinicians while offering thoughtful, ethical care to individuals, couples, and families.

Inner Healing Family Therapy, PLLC is a growing group practice serving individuals, couples, and families across North Carolina. We are building a supportive clinical environment where associate therapists (particularly marriage and family therapists) and graduate intern MFT's can continue developing their skills while providing meaningful, ethical care to the communities they serve.

We welcome clinicians (particularly marrige and family therapists) who value collaboration, cultural humility, and relational healing in their therapueutic work.

Inner Healing Family Therapy, PLLC operates as a collaborative clinical practice where therapists at different stages of professional development work together to provide thoughtful, ethical, and relational care. All therapists practice within their scope of training and receive appropriate supervision weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending on their training needs as approved and dictated by their supervisor and necessities for school.

Working with therapists across training levels allows the practice to expand access to care while maintaining strong clinical oversight and professional standards.

PRACTICE OWNER - Tanya A. Alkhaliq, LMFTA

The practice owner is responsible for the administrative leadership, vision, and development of Inner Healing Family Therapy, PLLC. This includes building the clinical environment, coordinating services, supporting therapist development, and ensuring the practice operates in alignment with relational, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed values.

​

As an associate Marriage and Family Therapist, the practice owner also provides therapy services under clinical supervision.

Inner Healing Family Therapy, PLLC operates as a supervised clinical practice committed to ethical training, professional development, and high-quality relational care.

​

While the practice is owned by Tanya Alkhaliq, LMFTA, all clinical work involving associates and interns is conducted under the supervision structure established by Dr. Tia Crooms, PhD, LMFT, an AAMFT-approved supervisor in NC & SC and faculty 

member in Marriage and Family Sciences at National University.

​

Through clinical supervision, Dr. Crooms supports the continued development of therapists within the practice while helping maintain strong clinical standards. This collaborative supervision model strengthens therapist growth, protects client care, and ensures that services provided through Inner Healing Family Therapy, PLLC remain thoughtful, ethical, and grounded in relational healing.​​
