BIOGRAPHY

Tanya Alkhaliq, LMFTA, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in North Carolina and the founder of Inner Healing Family Therapy, PLLC. She provides culturally responsive, trauma-informed therapy for individuals, couples, and families navigating trauma, identity transitions, grief, relational challenges, and spiritual or religious harm.

Her integrative clinical approach blends Narrative therapy, Experiential therapy, IFS/Gottman/EFT-informed work, collaborative and structural family therapy, and African/Black-centered healing frameworks. Tanya's work supports clients in reconnecting with their voiee, strengthening relational patterns,

and restoring emotional and spiritual balance.

Tanya specializes in working with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and spiritually diverse clients, offering an affirming therapeutic space at the intersections of identity, culture, faith, and community. She believes healing is both personal and collective - an ongoing process of reclamation, reflection, and growth.

In addition to her clinical practice, Tanya serves as President and CEO of Inner Healing Therapeutic Services, a fiscally sponsored nonprofit organization committed to expanding access to culturally grounded mental health care, advancing community-based education - including the development of a Black-centered homeschool co-op - and cultivating holistic healing spaces within historically marginalized communities. She is also the President and a Professor at Lighthouse College of Charlotte, where she teaches courses in liberation theology, African-centered pastoral care, and community leadership.

Tanya holds a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She practices under clinical supervision in North Carolina and continues to engage in ongoing professional development, scholarship, and research.

She currently resides in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she continues building therapeutic programs, academic spaces, and community healing initiatives rooted in relational healing and cultural liberation.
